Some people struggle with the idea of taking medication to control their mental health symptoms. They worry about being judged by others in their community. While others are worried about being over medicated. Here are my 3 suggestions to overcome those concerns. 1. Your health information is private and doctors, psychiatrists, therapists, counselors, and caseworkers are not allowed to reveal any of that information without your written consent. 2. Work closely with your psychiatrist or primary care doctor to let them know your concerns. Let them know what is working and what is not. They can prescribe something that is effective without over medicating a person. 3. Your mental health is your personal business and no one has a right to know your business. Keep this information to yourself and only share it with those that have proven themselves trustworthy.
